Community Church – Beginning of the Year Fast
Dear Church Family,
As we step into a new year, we are calling the church to a time of prayer and fasting. The beginning of the year sets the tone for everything that follows, and we want to intentionally place God first—seeking His will, direction, and strength for our lives, our families, and our church.
Fasting is not about religious routine, but about humbling ourselves before God, quieting other voices, and sharpening our spiritual focus. It is a time to realign our hearts with God’s purposes, repent where necessary, and ask Him to lead us clearly into the year ahead.
During this fast, we encourage everyone to:
-
Spend extra time in prayer and Scripture
-
Seek God for personal renewal
-
Pray for unity, wisdom, and spiritual growth in the church
-
Commit the plans and challenges of the year fully to God
Let us come before the Lord together, believing that He will hear us, guide us, and strengthen us as we seek Him wholeheartedly.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14
May this season of fasting draw us closer to God and prepare us for all that He desires to do among us this year.
In Christ,
[Church Leadership / Elders / Ministry Team]
